Thanks for your patience, thanks for your support, I’m excited to share soon. I’m hoping to ship this 1-2 hour experience first on Xbox and PC.

I’m still pretty much a one man team, now working with an animator, + aivi&surasshu. Before that, I was still figuring out what the hell the game was, and how I was going to make it.
#THE WAY TO THE WOODS FULL#
This thing will ship - I’ve been working on this for almost a quarter of my life! Full development began in earnest in the first quarter of 2019. I’m trying to better about keeping everyone in the loop and overcoming my own expectations. My original goal was to keep totally silent until a month or so before release, however I want to let everyone know about the current trajectory with this post. Seeing that inbox light makes my heart skip a beat, haha. Anthony Tan and his friends have applied for an Unreal Dev Grant potentially worth 50,000. To be honest, it brings me a lot of anxious feelings to make public posts about it, mostly because I know some people have been waiting a long time already, and expectations are sky high. Way To The Woods is a stunning indie game made by a 16-year-old boy. sorry, it hurts me to say but i wasn’t able to hit certain targets and its still not ready. It appears at the end of seven of the twenty-five lines. This can be seen through the repetition of the end word woods. Instead, there are instances of rhyme scattered throughout the lines. Kipling has chosen not to structure this piece with one particular rhyme scheme. Although none of these tasks ever felt meaningful enough to be considered anything more than filler and as good as the middle of an Oreo is, sometimes you’re just craving the cookie.Hi. ‘The Way Through the Woods’ by Rudyard Kipling is a two stanza poem made up of one stanza of twelve lines and another of thirteen. I’m no stranger to side-quests in fact, side-quests might be one of my favourite things to do in most games however, when faced with ONLY side-quests, I’d like them to feel a little bit more fulfilling.ĭuring my hours spent within Little Witch In The Woods, I’ve sent letters, cleared weeds, and even upgraded my home. Please don’t get me wrong there is a lot of fun to be had in completing the absolute plethora of side-quests the game constantly throws your way, but at the end of the day, that’s all there is to it, side-quests. Now, here’s the thing: what I’ve played of Little Witch In The Woods has left me somewhat wanting. You’re also accompanied by Virgil, Ellie’s sentient witch hat, who never shies away from pointing out her many, many missteps along the way.Īs mentioned above, Little Witch In The Woods is an Early Access title with a full release aimed for 2023, which promises to bring more story chapters and an actual ending.
#THE WAY TO THE WOODS SERIES#
After a series of missteps happen early in the game, Ellie finds herself living in a forest and caring for those who dwell there. In Little Witch In The Woods, players control a young witch in training named Ellie. Weather and rain have undone it again, And now you would never know There was once a road through. If you want the short and straightforward hook that first drew me, here goes: Little Witch In The Woods is what you’d get if you take the gameplay of Stardew Valley but give it a magical/witchy theme. They shut the road through the woods Seventy years ago. Yet, there is no other game that feels quite like Little Witch In The Woods, which is why this Early Access title was fast on its way to becoming my latest game addiction. From Animal Crossing to Stardew Valley, there are no shortages of simple, sweet, mind-numbingly relaxing titles. Over the last few years, there has been a definite increase in impossibly cute-looking life simulators. Don’t get me wrong, I love/hate myself a good competitive game of League of Legends as much as the next masochist but sometimes what you really need is a break from the self-inflicted torture and instead cuddle up with some blankets, some hot chocolate with little marshmallows and a good cosy game.
